Amoeba is an interesting object and has intimate relation with various
topics such as tropical geometry and real algebraic geometry. Recently,
physicists defined its cousin, known as coamoeba, and clarified its
relation with dimer model (a.k.a. brane tiling). Our work (in
collaboration with Kazushi Ueda) has shown that coamoeba has beautiful
application to homological mirror symmetry.
