title: Quantum Algorithms for Quantum Parton Showers
abstract: While quantum simulation of quantum field theories is one of the promising directions for future research, the resources are limited in the near term and we need to find more realistic/tractable problems that capture the essence of the quantum effects in quantum field theories. In this talk, I will argue that the quantum parton shower is an excellent example of such a problem. I will discuss quantum parton-shower algorithms, and in particular discuss the "veto" algorithm, which we believe has potential applications in many different topics. The research topic is still in its infancy and I would very much welcome your feedback.
