MICHI is a thermal-infrared (IR) imager and spectrometer for the possible construction in the early phase of the TMT. Combined with the mid-IR adaptive optics (AO) system (MIRAO), the instrument will afford about 15 times higher sensitivity and 4 times better spatial resolution (0.07'') at 10 um compared to 8m-class telescopes. I will explore how MICHI will help to unveil and characterize the warm/hot dust tori around the supermassive black holes.
