Abstract:
We constructed a galaxy evolution model through the cosmic time up to $z\sim 5.5$ with making use of the survey data of VLA COSMOS field (${\rm Smol{\check c}i{\acute c} et al. 2017}$). In this work, we estimated the luminosity functions of star forming galaxies and active galactic nuclei (AGNs). To avoid the effect of the cosmic variance, we adopted $C^-$ method (Lynden-Bell 1971) to estimate unbiased luminosity functions. \par We find that star forming galaxies and AGNs have a peak at $z\sim 3$, and $z\sim 2$, respectively, which are consistent with the results obtained from surveys in other wavelength, and the model successfully reproduced the observed number counts.
