Title: Combinatorics of Dimers and Plane Partitions

Abstract: The counting of the plane partitions appears in many branches, ranging from combinatorics, representation theory, geometry and physics, for example. In this talk I will discuss combinatorics of certain generalizations of plane partitions, wherein the hexagonal dimer model arising from the projection of a plane partition is replaced by more general periodic dimer models.
