Lecture on anomalies and topological phases (2019)

Contents

Some additional materials were given in another set of lectures and are available here.

The main aim of the lecture was to revisit various known facts and constructions concerning anomalies in relativistic QFTs using a new viewpoint introduced by the cond-mat physicists. The lectures are mostly about 温故知新, i.e. by warming-up the old to learn the new.

It was given as a part of TASI 2019, more on which can be found on the official website. I gave a very similar set of lectures before at CERN and Rikkyo, but the presentations this time were hopefully somewhat improved.

Handwritten notes and video recordings (part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4) are avaialble.
